Matson Run Flood Abatement Project

We served as engineer of record for a golf course renovation project which provides regional flood mitigation for the Matson Run Watershed. Working alongside George Golf Design and the New Castle Conservation District, we designed onsite flood attenuation that was compatible with the Golf Course Master Plan. This design provided partial flood relief for the City of Wilmington. Watershed Consulting provided hydrologic-hydraulic modeling, construction plans, and permitting services for the project. The project also included design of a DELDOT wetland mitigation site. These features enhance the aesthetics of the landscape while also providing valuable ecological and flood protection services.
